I have been invited to return to Winston-Salem as Artist-in-Residence at their new advanced placement high school. I was there last year teaching shrine-making to students from fifteen high schools all over the county. They were so creative and attentive; it was a pleasure working with them and I'm excited to be going back. This time I will be doing altered books with them and I know they will have a lot of fun with it.

My new altered book manual, Between the Covers, has been selling well. I expected to sell it to my students but I've also been hearing from people around the country, so that's been a pleasant surprise! If you would like a copy just let me know. I can be reached at carol@carolowenart.com.

Several things are in the planning stage: a workshop in Miami in early January and an exhibit and workshop in Washington, DC, next Spring. When the details are settled dates and topics will be posted immediately.
