The holiday season started for me with the Carolina Designer Craftsmen craft fair Thanksgiving weekend in Raleigh. This year they featured one of my Spirit Houses in their advertising. It was in newspaper ads, the postcard they sent out, the cover of the program, even on the electronic billboard outside the fairgrounds. I felt like a rock star (not really)!
The Open Studio Tour was wonderful. A lot of friends, students and repeat customers came, along with many new people. Now I'm getting ready for the big craft fair, American Craft Council, in Baltimore the end of February. All the incredible work on exhibit there always gives me a burst of creative energy.
After that it will be time to get ready for my Spring teaching schedule. I'm looking forward to teaching a week of altered books at Idyllwild School of the Arts in California. Check out the classes page for more information!
One more thing - my work can be purchased online at Art-Exchange.com. Please feel free to visit their site!
