Spring is well under way in my part of North Carolina. The trees are leafing out and my garden is coming back to life. This is always an exciting time for me and it's reflected in what I'm doing in the studio. I'm creating something special for Carolina Designer Craftsmen's Masterworks program. It's to be a large wall piece, based on my Spirit House series, inspired by the hill town villages of Tuscany. It will be displayed for the first time at the Thanksgiving craft fair in Raleigh, NC. I will also have a booth at the show, exhibiting and selling my work. Please visit the events & shows page for complete listings.
In July I'll be teaching a week-long altered books workshop at the Arrowmont Craft School in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It's one of the top craft schools in the country, and I'm really excited about teaching there. I have added several new teaching venues for this summer and next fall, and many more invitations are coming my way, so be sure to check out the classes page.
My work periodically appears in books and magazines; to view the latest look on my bio page. For more on my book, Crafting Personal Shrines, follow these links for more information or to buy the book.
