I'm very excited to have been invited to teach an altered books workshop at the Abruzzo School of Creative Art in Abruzzo, Italy, September 19 - 26. The Abruzzo region is east of Rome, bordered by the Appennines mountain range and the Adriatic Sea (check out the classes page for more information). It's a relatively unspoiled region with ancient hillside villages. This will be a wonderful opportunity to explore altered books in depth while surrounded by gorgeous scenery.

I will be artist in residence in Winston-Salem, NC, May 21 - 25, working with honors art students from the area high schools. I will be teaching Spirit House shrines. This is being funded by an Arts in Education grant and I'm very pleased to have been chosen!
